Visibility & Impact

Connecting ideas with global conversations on AI and security

Bringing Research into the World

From keynote speeches and expert panels to global policy consultations and media appearances, I am committed to making academic research matter beyond the university. This page offers a snapshot of how I contribute to shaping public debates and governance processes on AI and military technologies through outreach, public speaking, and media engagement.

Outreach

Connecting research with global policy and public debate

I am passionate about research dissemination and impact. In particular, I am an active contributor to international governance processes around military applications of autonomous and AI technologies. The following list offers a selective overview of the types of outreach activities I conduct to connect to and interact with state and civil society stakeholders. These include review activities, consultancies, but also online publications dedicated to disseminating my research findings to a broader public.

Public Speaking

Contributing expertise at key global events on AI and security

I am regularly invited as a keynote speaker or expert panelist at in-person and virtual events, especially—but not limited to—those focused on AI governance. The following list offers a selective overview of the different types of public speaking activities I have delivered since 2020.

Media

Sharing insights through interviews, podcasts, and press commentary

I am a regular contributor to national and international media coverage through interviews with journalists as well as podcasts. The list below highlights some recent examples.
